How to buy at an auction
At Svendborg Auktionerne we offer several ways to participate in our traditional hammer auctions. It's up to you to choose the method that suits you the best.
Experience the genuine auction atmosphere live in our auction house in Svendborg on South Funen in person. Feel the vibes, see the items up close and bid directly. Parking available right at the door.
If you can't make it to Svendborg, participate in the live auction by live video stream and bid in realtime regardless of where you are. All you need is an account.
Commission bids
You can also participate by placing commission bids before the auction. With a commission bid you give us the permission to bid on your behalf up to a maximum set by you. You only need to create an account with us to be able to leave your bids.
The advantage is that you do not need to be physically present during the auction.
You leave your commission bids by entering the catalog and finding your item. On the item you choose your maximum bid and submit the bid.
Join os for inspection
The pre-auction inspection is your chance to physically examine lots, including their condition, authenticity, and functionality. The inspection period is announced in the catalog and usually occurs 4-5 days before the auction.
Auction staff are available to answer questions and provide additional details, such as history, provenance, and minimum prices, if applicable.
As a traditional auction house under Danish auction law, there is no right of complaint regarding purchased items, even if errors or omissions are found, or if catalog text is incorrect.

After the auction
If you have won a bid and you are at the auction house, you can pay and bring your items with you immediately.
Have you won a bid participating on livestream, commission bid or on Invaluable.com, you will receive an invoice the first Monday following the auction. You can also see your invoice on your account on "My pages" and use the payment link to pay with creditcard.
