Placing commission bids

A commission bid is a bid, that you submit before the auction starts. It allows auction staff to bid on your behalf up to the maximum amount that you have submitted. In this way you can bid, even if you cannot attend the auction in person or via live stream.

You can place a commission bid by logging into your account on our website. Once logged in, find the lot you're interested in and enter your maximum bid amount. The auction staff will then bid on your behalf up to this amount.

You can place commission bids as soon as the catalog is available. During the auction you can place commission bids until the lot is being sold. Browse through all our planned auctions.

You will see a popup-message on the screen if the commission bid is registered. On your account "My pages" - Comission bids you can see all your submitted commission bids.

You can increase a commission bid by submitting a new, higher bid. It is always your highest bid, that will be considered the applicable bid. 

A commission bid can be cancelled until the auction begins. Once the auction starts, all commission bids are final and cannot be withdrawn.

No, the auction staff will only bid the amount necessary to win the item, which could be less than your maximum bid. Your maximum amount is only used, when there are competing bids.

No, your commission bids are confidential, and no other bidders know your maximum bid.

Yes, you can place commission bids on any item listed in the catalog. Each lot will have an option to place a bid.
